About

What is Decentralized Recovery?

Decentralized Recovery (DeRec) protects your keys, passwords, notes, photos, and secrets. Your secret is split into encrypted shares and distributed to helpers — people, apps, or institutions you choose. No single helper can read it; a threshold of them can bring it back when you ask.

The protocol is an open, royalty-free standard from DeRec Alliance, Inc. — a 501(c)(3) non-profit. It is quantum-resistant, works across every wallet, chain, and platform, and is designed so recovery finally feels as safe as losing your keys feels dangerous.
